Which Government Has Jurisdiction Over You? by: "The Mustard Seed" 8-1-96 "... a state has the same undeniable and unlimited jurisdiction over all [real] persons and things within its territorial limits, as any foreign nation..." -New York v. Miln, 36 U.S. 102 *1837) We the People are sovereign over "the government". This includes all state, county, municipal, & even federal governments. These governments were created "by us" to "serve us". No Law or statute can override "our" sovereignty over these governments. Before the "Constitution for the uNITED states of America" was made, We the People, were citizens of our states/republics. There were NO "citizens of the [federal] United States". This 'term' did not come about until the passing of the fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution, 1868. Your average American is NOT under the jurisdiction of the federal United States. Americans are under the jurisdiction of their state. The federal government was set up by the states to SERVE them in limited areas.
1. The power to wage war 2. To establish currency 3. To make treaties with foreign nations 4. To contract debts and general expenses of the several united states Any other powers were reserved for the states, or the people. "The powers not delegated to the [federal] United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people" - Tenth Amendment to the ConstitutionThe federal United States does have exclusive jurisdiction/legislation over federal areas. These include, Wash. D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam etc. "IT" (the U.S.) also has exclusive jurisdiction over federal "enclaves". These are any "places" which any of the sovereign states have cede to the federal U.S., such as for the "erection of forts, magazines, arsenals, dock-yards, and other needful buildings." (the preceding words in italics are from Article 1:8 clause 17 of the Const). The sovereign state republics do not belong to the federal United States. They belong to us "We the People". Nor or they under the jurisdiction of the federal U.S. Since the Constitution, the federal United States government has been encroaching upon the sovereignty of the state republics and their respective sovereigns state Citizens. This has been mainly achieved by the states' accepting federal U.S. subsidies, benefits, entitlements, etc. The states have "voluntarily" through deception, waived their sovereign rights by accepting federal "money" (Federal Reserve Notes). In reality it is the federal government who should be listening to the states. The "Constitution for the united States of America" was an agreement between the states to limit the federal U.S.'s ability to encroach on the states rights and the "certain unalienable rights" of the sovereign state Citizen. "That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be, Free and Independent States…" - The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America Now, who has jurisdiction over you?
