I just ran my computer through the Windows update for the 2000 update. Now everything's slowed down. Anybody else with that problem? Also updated Ebay/Blackthorne Auction Assist and lost it. Tried again. Nothin. I see on the Auction Assist forum a bunch o people had same complaint. What's with these updates??

Slowed down how? The internet is slower?
Have you rebooted since you ran the updates? Try defragmenting your hard drive.
Which updates did you run?

Pretty much everything slowed down. Like when I wanta open windows it takes about twice as long.
I did reboot. I defragmented the hard drive a day before I updated. Should I run another?
I ran the whole windows update program from '97 to 2000.
Thanks for your interest, Brandoni.

I don't understand this. Windows Update is a website you go to to get patches and updates for Microsoft Windows. What exactly did you update? Did you buy Windows 2000 Upgrade and put it on there?
Maybe you went from Office 97 to Office 2000, and got them mixed up?

Wups. My apologies. I got the Windows update confused with the Auction Assist update. The I updated Windows 98 from 3 to 3.4. version. Does that sound right? The auction thing was from the 97 to the 2000 version.
The speed seems to be picking up some the more I use the updated version. Maybe it takes some time to settle in. With the auction assist I can't seem to convert the old data into the new version. Gotta talk to a couple more people I know about that. One guy tried to figure it out, but was unable. Thanks.
