View Full Version : Regarding the use of My real name...

MADG
07-27-2004, 08:18 PM
Hi there… my screen name is MADG… which is an acronym for MeAndDaGirls… it’s been my nom de cyber-plume for as long as I’ve had Internet access.

For those of you that haven’t paid attention… my real name is TOM… which is short for Thomas… such as “peeping Tom,” “doubting Thomas,” and “don’t forget granny’s nooks and crannies.”

My middle name is Joseph and my Confirmation name is ANTHONY… (”Please, Saint Anthony, come around; Something’s lost, it must be found…”)… so for those of you into nicknames, I’m: “Tommy Joey Tony.”

… which will be treated with just as much seriousness as: “Billy Joe Jim Bob.”

Anyone that publicly refers to me by surname… and/or by geopolitical detail (IE: address)… without my explicit consent… will be scourged.

Thought you’d like to know….

I prefer not to have my real name used on the board. I can't remember anyone ever doing that, though, and I know many of you do know my name.

If I'm eating dinner with you in person, however, I prefer not to be called Suth. ;)

Since there is no punishment that will be given for the use of our real names, if you use mine, I'll just have to have you killed.

Thank you.

I'll try to remember that when we're having breakfast at Walt's house.

Wait a minute...did you tell him we were coming to visit? ???

Yeah, and just to make sure that we were as confused as she was, she brought her friend (whom we had never met). A delightful young lady she was, too.

Next time you see her, Suth, tell her I said:

MOTHER OF DUCKS!!!

;D

Rebecca is a nice name don't you think? Yeah, I think that's the name I'll pick for my real name. It has a royal ring to it. ;D

I think it would be hard to say Suth after a couple martini's anyway. :)
Yes it would. We would sound like Slyvester The Cat.

It would be hard to say it without the martinis. I'm not sure even I know how it's pronounced if I actually try to say it out loud. ;D

I once decided to invite an internet aquaintance into my home..
I regretted it.
This person turned out to be weird.. she knew my last name and called me once at 5 am because she couldn't sleep..I have NOTHING to say to anyone before 8 am.
We decided that possibly.. POSSIBLY we would meet at the local highland games.. but , with 4 children, I could not. Seems she planned her day around me and was quite perturbed that I didn't show.
Several reprimanding emails followed, and I promptly placed her on BLOCK everywhere.
The pay off was the next New Years Eve.. she sent me an email, saying she was "cleaning her baggage" from the year before, and demanded to know why I ignored her, and thought she would like an apology from me for hurting her. She CREATED this email address for this purpose..
I did not like this.
There are some whackos out there. Ayup.

Good for you. What the hell did she want you to apoligize to her for? She was bugging the shit out of you, you werent bugging the shit out of her. She deserves to be put on block. If anyone is going to call me at 5am, and wake me up out of a good sleep. They better have an emergency, otherwise I will go off on them big time.
