The cure for what ails Islam is to rid those countries of theocracies. Of course that has to be their decision not ours. We need to quit being the world's police force. I'm sick of our soldiers coming home in body bags to satisfy the UN.

Lizzie, the problem is that governemnt and religion are inseperable in the ME. Kids are educated in the most radical form of Islam in existence. They are being TAUGHT it is their duty to kill the infidel.

It was ok when they kept it in their own country but now they have exported it world wide. That makes it OUR problem.

When they bring it to our soil it becomes our problem agreed, but when we finish cleaning their clocks we need to get out. I'm sick of us sticking around trying to rebuild their goverment. Just kick their butts and let them sort it out.

No, and I think it's why so many of these countries end up hating us. How would we have liked if after helping us defeat the British the French had stayed on and tried to force their government on us?

Yep and let them rebuild their own goverment. We did it ourselves from the ground up, why can't they?


They can, but be aware that the people rebuilding the gov't will be the same people who have been indocrinated in their masadras for the last 20 years. Take Saudi for example. The ruling family is a hell of a lot more moderate (for the most part) than the people who want to replace them. We end up sticking around and rebuilding their government because it is a better alternative than say...China helping them out. ;)

Isn't it more to do with their own actions now? But even before 9/11 I'd lay the blame at Big Business' doorstep more than the UN's...........not that they don't suck, and aren't part of the same thing.

You look quite ominous in those shades. I always manage to look like a hippie when I wear them, of course mine are rectangular and purple, but I didn't buy them to look like a hippie. I just like purple.

Yup But it almost seems like Semi Professional in that on day like the Day BEFORE Thanksgiving---- I am having troiuble Picking up a CHECK form a local client after finishing his website,.......pre holiday vacation Harumph~!!!

Well that sucks completely. My dad used to have his own business and he got all kinds of people trying to jerk him around. They would wait until he'd finished working on their car, then ask for payment terms. His only terms were payment in full is expected upon completion of repairs. He actually told one lady that his terms were that she could pick her car up when she gave him the money she owed. He also accepted credit card payments. He actually had one guy pay with a check then go and cancel payment on the check. Of course that prick ended up in jail, served him right.

This is a situation of convenience, in that I have worked projects for this client for well over 20 YEARS,.and he is ALWAYS tap dancing around patments in ever more clever ways. Noyhing illegal or immoral simply STINGY, and PARARNOID that he might get taken Advantge of~!! He is a TRUST Fund Baby who doesnt NEED the income form his busnesses but,............ after 20 Years I haven gotten used to his three day weeks etc,..etc,...etc...

[/quote] The checke always DO come and they always are good,..I am talking a a guy who has inherited a great fortune that runs a business for the Fun of it and is Certain that everyone wants,..HIS MONEY like we erent TRADING anythiong for it,..that sort of deal.

He's pleasant enough he just has that one little broken part of his personality that assumes that everyopne wants his family fortune. EVEN THOSE HE"S KNOW and trusted to do design work for him for 20 Long hard Years~!
