Just because I'm paranoid.

Anyway, there are always programs to make it aware of, so there are lots of alerts to begin with.

Then came the external intrusion notices with identifying IP addresses.

So, I decide to look a few up using the reverse IP lookup at some website.

One of the intrusions was from the Defense Intelligence Agency--the DIA. The super secret spy agency of the U.S. Department of Defense.

What would they be trying to intrude into my little network for? :o

Where you been playing? Some agencies check out their visitors and have mock sites to lure those they might find of interest I hear.... :o

Did you not say that you have had family visit China at times?

I suspect that is some sort of mask. If DIA were poking around, you probably wouldn't be able to find out with a program as widely distributed as ZoneAlarm. If it were really DIA, it would most likely show up as some Swedish software development firm, or something equally misleading . . . .

But, someone out there probing for a trojan host might put up a faux DIA ID to throw anyone who traced their IP off the scent.
