Thales, of course there is censorship. Just because we happen to agree with Lance's decisions doesn't mean he has not or will not be forced to censor a post.

Thales, I've known lance for quite a while as well...just on a different board. Just because he doesn't like censorship doesn't mean he won't have to resort to in on rare occasion. :)

Having just redrawn his Face I needed to Deliver same ..but I'm not expecting to pick up a tip,... so I just left it on the forums doorstep. I too shalll be back~!!

Jeremy is quite correct. I may agressively disagree with a viewpoint. But as long as we are acting reasonably adult about it, I'm not going to censor it.

My personal opinion and philosophy is that our country is great BECAUSE we have this free exchange of ideas. And bickering. And competition. It forces us to re-examine our own ideas more so than a stratified or ordered culture.

This is why I have "two hats" here. As the Guardian, its my job to keep order on these borders. I refrain from debating at all with that handle...and if I have to resort to censorship to win an argument...how strong was my case in the first place?

Jeremy and I as well as Satterfield have bumped heads in the past over religious issues. So I have with some of our Newsmax refugees. But by and large everyone thats here are "good people".

The newsmaxers remember how all the bickering stopped with CL's health crisis. The same thing happened here with one of our regulars too. THAT, IMHO is what makes these places special.

I'm curious. What difference does it make if someone disagrees with someone else about anything? Especially religion and politics?

The point of the board is to exchange ideas and/or debate. No one is going to get kicked out of here for disagreeing. I'm just talking about the bastard trolls over at BartCop Forum who've been stalking me and found their way over here. I should have never put the link up on my website. That was certainly a mistake. But it also goes for anyone else who wants to come here after smoking crack to act like an ass.
