I have never replaced one of these. Could one of you lovely men have that done when i get home.. or at very least have step by step instructions and the correct parts waiting for me? :) ;D

they're very easy to replace, just remember, that toilet handles have a 'left hand" thread. IOW, they turn clockwise to loosen, and counter clockwise to tighten.

Get a "universal" fit handle, unless you know the model number of the toilet tank. Universal fit handles have a bendable arm

And here I thought they didn't have indoor plumbing in Canada. ;D

Go to HGTV.com They should have instructions there...if not, lift the white part at the top, reach in the water and pour some cement down the opening that has a rubber peice covering it. Drain all water first though or you could end up with a mess. Once the cement is fully covering the area where the gasket was, Turn the water back on.

You should be good to go anywhere in the house in an hour or two..

Oh! YOUR WELCOME!

Are there curtain rods? If so, put shrimp in each one of the rods, that should teach the prick a nice lesson.

That would work ok if the kids didn't have to spend time here.. :)
You should see the mess that will be awaiting me to clean at the house..

Not a good idea then, no need to punish the girls for their father being an asshat.

After the conversation I just had with him, I'd like to try it.

One of my best friends just realized she's spent the last three years dating a new version of the drug addicted asshat she was married to for fifteen years.

I wish my friend had done the same, when she started talking about her new boyfriend smoking pot, I knew it wouldn't be ok with her for very long. I mean occasional use is one thing, he can't get through a day without smoking or drinking.

A little caution and cynicism is a fine thing.
