So that explains it. :)

ATLANTA, Georgia (Reuters) -- The same family of chemicals that produces a buzz in marijuana smokers may be responsible for "runner's high," the euphoric feeling that some people get when they exercise, U.S. researchers say.

High levels of anandamide were found in young men who ran or cycled at a moderate rate for about an hour, according to a study made public this week by the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of California, Irvine.

Anandamide is a cannabinoid, or lipid molecule, that is naturally produced in the body. It is known to produce sensations that are similar to those of THC, the psychoactive property in marijuana.

I dont care how high I would feel running...I hate running and I used to do it all the time. I just found it a chore and not something I looked forward to. Id rather ride the bike.

I never experienced the "runners high". I hated every second of it no matter what distance I ran.

I can so vouch for the "runners high" better than any drug I've tried, except Ecstacy.

It takes too long to get a "runner's high." I prefer adrenaline, its easier to get and you don't have to wait as long.

Ecstacy is faster than either. ;)

I never hit a runner's high either. After half an hour or so - I can sometimes feel the old adrenaline kick in and experience a 'second wind' of sorts - but never a 'high'.

More importantly, I'm sure, it doesn't "hurt to fuck" anymore?

I also don't dislocate my hip with each step.

I can also walk five feet without passing out.

Ouch. That sounds painful. It also sounds more muscular/skeletal. Have you seen a doctor for that?

Once I started eating a healthy diet again, all of those problems cleared up, though I am scared of having a calcium deficiency later in life because of the two years I did that to myself.

That would be awful...not being able to put your ankles up behind your ears, wouldn't it?

You see? There ARE consequences.

Yes, I know it would be tragic if you couldn't have that to fantacize about. :-*

Fantacize, my ass. You'd share it in a New York minute. I'm waiting for the first report of the dinner converstaion you have when you meet OAG's parents at a formal affair.

That would be priceless.

I know more than you about how to conduct myself at a formal occasion, you'd never hear me turn the discussion to wet farts.

Well, I, for one, am impressed to hear that. :-*

How about pussy farts? Any chance? Or would you just squeeze one out while asking "Please, kind sir, pass the taters?" ;D

I wouldn't discuss them, and I wouldn't "squeeze" anything out while at the dinner table, and on the off chance that I ever wanted potatoes, I would certainly not call them taters.

If I wanted potatoes, it would be so much easier to say, "Would you mind passing the Vodka?"

If you are going to be having dinner with MY family you'll be needing plenty of that.

BTW, Bad old friend, I would just like to tell you that Lizzie cleans up quite nicely. For our first date she had on a lovely evening gown with a wrap and she looked quite stunning and classy. She can be every bit a genteel southern belle if the occasion calls for it. She wasn't an ass kicking, bar brawling bitch until we hit the biker bar 2 nights later. :)
