:o All over the 'net now. Lott has resigned his Majority Leader post..or as he puts it, "not seek to remain". He has indicated he is staying in the Senate.

Well, I'll be damned. I would love to believe this shows a scrap of integrity, but...there is always a but, isn't there?
Not sure Frist is any prize either.

Well how 'bout dat;
And Chafee is endorsing Frist and not rocking the boat...hmmm... ::)
Cherry, instead of racing to postalot, do some research on Frist; your comment indicates you need a load of Jebus dumped on you... ;D ;D ;D
I take that to mean that you like Frisk?
Hmmm.....?

Well, he did write a great book... ::)
But more importantly, he's not Lott; and no, I'm not gonna do your research for you. 8) ;D
All I ever heard was that he passed legislation that would put Medicare money in his pocket.
I don't really care to know much else about him.

Well, he is a doctor; he was probably tired of getting stiffed on his fees...BTW, one senator cannot pass legislation... ::)
Gonna plunge your head back into the sand, eh? :D

Nah, my dad told me he was an idiot. Maybe someday I will research him more. But the AARP had a problem with him and they are pretty strong lobby.
BTW - being a doctory does not turn my gears much. I've met more than a few who were pretty much losers.
Besides, I never said he was totally shitty, You just assumed it. I just said I wasn't SURE he was a prize. You sound like you wanna blow him or something.
What's up with that?

Uh-oh...Tiger whipped off the kid gloves...are you spotting? Well, your dad would know, eh? Lobbying should be illegal. I mentioned his Dr.ness re medicare legislation, ya twit. Earlier in this thread, I implied anybody but Lott. In '92 I stated anybody but clinton, but nobody listened then, either. As for your initial assessment of Frist, you should have mentioned you were parroting yo daddy. I've noticed everytime you're losin' an argument you want me to engage in a sexual activity with the subject. Diversionary tactics belittle your credibility, curve-free. Come back when you grow up, girl.
...are you spotting?
ROFL!! <jot, jot, jot>

Frist was chair of the Republican Senate Campaign Committee in 2002, and scored a huge and historic victory. He is respected on both sides of the aisle, and is the closest Senator to President Bush.
I heard that Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens has reservations about Frist. That makes Frist much more attractive in my book, as Stevens is a big-spending pork dispenser.

The former head of AARP, Morris Dees, child molester, pervert, liar and fund raiser, was a problem for AARP for many years!!! Don't know about your dad; did he back up his opinion?

Based on this (http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=30100) article, I can see why Bush supported him. Frist ain't all that conservative...it the Republican sense.

I agree, JT! From what I've read, Frist ain't no dummie! He seems to be very diplomatic and careful in his communication! As to Stevens having reservations, that might mean lower spending for sure!
Well, I called it.
Lott is no leader, not that it matters....whoever the
Republicrats pick, you will just get more of the same:
Bigger and bigger government, more spending, more regulations, more wars, more repression, more imperialism, more corporate welfare........
If you keep voting for what you always had, you'll keep getting what you always got.

I'm no Lott fan but did he shave his body and have sex with an intern who later turned up dead after she threatened to go public about her affair with him and the gays he also had sex with? Did Lott fuck anyone and drive them off a bridge to die? Did Lott have anyone honk the bo bo in the Oval Office?
The GOP long ago lost my support due to their gutless meandering. You GOP assholes support the GOP for dumping Lott?

They will be trashing him for some time I suppose, even though he has already stepped down friday morning!!!!!!!! I'ts all they have!!!!!!!! He stepped down because of all the continuous crying/whinning, and the new leader can concentrate on legislation rather than answering all of these BS allegations!!!!!!!!!! It won't work a second time before 2004 elections!!!!!!!!!! ;D
Who cares anyway. What the guy said proved he is a dickhead even to those who had hopes that he wasn't. Replace one career politician with another one and what is really going to change? What does the senate leader do? He leads senators. He leads them to what? decide on bigger salaries for themselves? decide which lobbies to support? decide on whether taxes should remain the same or go up this week?
Since I don't think our current batch of senators are doing much good for anyone but themselves I don't think it matters one little bit who their leader is.
