Do you think Davis would take it to heart if I write him with a few suggestions of things he could cut right out of the budget? I doubt it, but when my husband emailed this to me this afternoon, he wrote that our 10 year plan to get the hell out of CA might turn into a 2 year plan. :D

WHy is it that whemver liberals and statists get a budget crunch, they immediate;y turn around and do the very thing most likely to make the trouble worse--raise taxes?

Why not:

A) DISCHARGE the deadweight bureaucrats;
B) REMOVE the deadweight citizens from the public TEAT
C) FIND other sources of revenue (like making fees for government services bear some relationship to costs)
D) PRIVATIZE services, subjecting them to competitive bidding so that the best services can be obtained at the most competitive rates.


From what I gather, Davis "took over" the energy business in California, made a bunch of stupid contracts that lost the taxpayers billions, so now he is going to stick the taxpayers for the bill.

Last one out of California, please remember to shut off the lights--they are costing you BILLIONS. :o
