Newsmax.com's forums are apparently in some sort of change which will evolve into a "paid" model. Needless to say, many regulars there are quite upset and are looking for new places to go.

I am looking at doing a serious upgrade on NoPC to a full content management system. This would allow multiple forms of interaction similar to what you see on popular Internet boards like slashdott, with the forum only being a small part of it.

Since things are in a state of flux, please ask if you see a feature you'd like.

Hey, I'm one of those old farts on a longboard. I surf at San Onofre most times (hence the term "sanosurfer") and Doheney (I live 4 blocks from there) when the south swell is best in the summer.

My kids were raised camping weekends at Red Beach on Camp Pendleton right near Onofre. I used to go to Doheny a lot as a kid. My dad would drop a bunch of us off and leave us for a week.
Been Brookhurst because my best friend growing up lives around the corner...........kinda dirty but we can get a descent break from alot of directions because of the bar.

Sorry to hear that. I'm on dial up and I keep getting knocked off line. Bought a new modem today and it's still doing it ... damn. >:(
