Hi Covert. They're not Biblical that I know of. Are they unbiblical? I don't know that the Bible forbids them but the greatest problem I see is that they take the leadership of local chruches from them and put it in the hand of a few bureaucrats who are not members of the church who dictate doctrine, procedure and so forth. They are divisive, imo.
