hmmmm.
At this point, he might go for morph and the drill--he's fussy about what he wears in public, so yoga is out.

I wish I could give you some useful advice. I don't have any experience with them, so I really don't know.
I have been told that a cool, moist cloth over the eyes, dimming the lights in the room, and putting on some soft, soothing music may help provide some temporary relief from the symptoms, but I am sure it does nothing to eliminate the cause.

He is probably struggling with the pain. That makes it worse.

Also, figuring out what is triggering them could help tremendously....easier said than done.
Here's something with suggestions for possible food triggers.
Since it is known that certain triggers lead to migraine headaches, try to learn what these are. Foods and beverages containing amines are known migraine triggers. Avoid beer, red wine, pickles, nuts, fresh baked yeast products, caffeinated drinks, sour cream, aged cheese, eggs, tomatoes, onions and citrus fruits. Eating a diet of fish which is rich in omega-3 fatty acids appears to alter blood chemicals and reduce the risk of blood vessel spasms. Drinking plenty of water and regular exercise will help with the elimination of migraines.

Stress is often a factor as well. Yoga can help that, but if he is not interested in yoga, there are many other forms of exercise that would work. Even just regular walking can help boost the brain chemicals needed to combat stress.

My educated guess also is food allergies. I used to get them on a regular basis. Found the food allergies and no more migraines.

Pretty much any aerobic exercise is a stress reliever. Of course, that doesn't help when you actually have the migraine and you are sitting in a dark room afraid to move because it causes an increase in the pounding and nausea.
As for immediate relief during a migraine there are now products on the market for it and some of them do seem to be effective. The effective ones are probably only available by prescription.
In my past I was desperate for some relief one day at my brother's house. I had already taken an unhealthy dose of headache remedies with zero effect. I was looking through the cupboards in his bathroom for anything else I might take when I discovered his bong with the bowl already filled and everything. It didn't entirely make the migraine go away but it did lessen it to a tolerable degree and make it so that I didn't care abvout it any more. I don't recommend illegal drugs. I'm against pot smoking even for something like that and sought other alternatives. However, I can tell you I was so desperately ill that day that I contemplated simply cutting my head off to make it stop so the dope seemed a less drastic alternative. :)

No on dope, but the food allergy angle is promising. Thanks.
He thinks it's from playing too much tennis recently.

Depends on if they only cause pain or temporary blindess that I get. A spot will start at the corner of my eye and slowly move across the field of vision.
All I can say is that it is not fun. No cure, just rest if possible.

My neighbor has an old Robert Tilton tape, I'm sure he would loan it to you and you can pop it in your VCR, place your hand of the TV screen and be healed. It's your call.

Blow jobs help. Also another tactic is to get him to direct the pain away from his head, i.e. take a hammer and hit himself on the thumb about ten times.
No more migraine.
I'd try the B.J. first, though...well...not me...YOU!!

Have him go to a headache specialist. They will start looking into the possibility of food allergies and other causes, and will more than likely prescribe something like Immitrix in the meantime, which should help.

I only insist on a female doctor for testicular or urinary problems. I don't want a male doctor grabbing my junk to see what's wrong. :)

A sure sign of latent homosexuality.

That's funny because i would NEVER see a male OB/GYN, I can think of only one reason a man would be interested in being in such a practice. ;)

He wants to be grossed out about 40 times a day?

seriously? Why would a man be interested in that stuff? And what does he have to offer in that field anyway? Besides, men screwed the whole pregnancy/birth thing. ;)

I guess it is kind of strange when it comes to the time when the doc picks his specialty. I don't know. Maybe a light goes on, kind a revelation and "Hey!! I'm gonns spend the rest of my life looking at vaginas!" ::)
Lord knows what goes through the minds of proctologists.
LOL, yeah.
I don;t buy the "I love the miracle of birth" thing either. It's such a "girl" thing to say.
