I took the test three different times and came out 100% Mormon each time. Since I'm Mormon, I think the test is pretty good. If you answer the best answer to each question that applies to you, it pretty well tells you what you believe in.

One thing this test does prove --- that a lot of problems are in store for America in assimilating this huge influx of Eastern religion immigrants into this nation.

Jeny: "Weird results for me actually."

So, you aren't Baha'i?
All the Baha'i i've know were nice folk.
Are you Liberal Protestant Christian?
Most of those folk i've known were
good folk.

Ed: "I've got a mini-Budda image on my necklace,
Just in case :)"

Buzsaw: "And how do your Baptist brethren take to that?"

I don't know :) I'll go over to the Baptist
board and do a survey :)

In reality i've looked for a Budda charm
for a necklace for two years. I never found
one. One can find a cross. One can find
a star & cresent. One can find a Star of David.
One cannot find a Budda. Go figure.

Anyway, it isn't the symbol you wear that
protects you from eternity.

Jeny: "Weird results for me actually"

You're not Baha'i? The Baha'i i've known

You're not a Mainline/Liberal Christian?
The Liberal Christians i've known contained
some nice folk.

There is but one God to me and He is the creator of heaven and of earth.

As a Christian, I also believe that Jesus is the Messiah of the Prophets and he will come again.

I do not think that man can fathom the mind of God, nor do I think we can know how each man is judged by God.

But, I am rather simple in my faith and have not always been so.

I do believe that there are those who love their fellow man, woman, child and wish for peace on this earth and in my simplicity hope that God holds a special place for those....regardless...

more later, perhaps....

Ha ha, thanks Lizzie, but I am pretty comfortable as a Catholic. It may be a security blanket for me, but it's a nice warm fuzzy security blanket, and I don't think I'l ever give it up. I talk to God a lot, and I read the Bible, as I feel it is a book of stories based some part in truth and some part mythology, but I don't think I'll be looking ointo any other religions any time soon.

Anyway, it isn't the symbol you wear that

Over my 40+ years of the antique n estate business I've destroyed dozens along with rosaries, witch collectables, haloed Mary charms, and crucifixs, some worth quite alot. Why? Because I don't want to pass on to my fellow man that these are acceptable to God and to be held accountable in the final judgement for the damage it may cause to some. Some might ask, "The crucifix??" Yah, because Jesus is risen and not on the shameful cross. Imo the cross symbol is ok so long as it has no dead body on it. I don't criticize any who look at that differently. It's just the way I see it. You rarely ever see a fundie with a crucifix. Many do wear empty crosses though.

Btw, Ed, let us know how that survey of your Baptist elders goes on the Buddha thing, will ya? Maybe they, like me, will suggest you give up the search. ;)

I have decided to NOT get any tatoos on any part of my body that is significantly changed by pregnancy until after I'm done having babies. I went from a little B to a BIG D, I'm back down to C at the moment, but I'm not don nursing yet, so who knows what size I'll end up being by the time it's all said and done?? Maybe when my ovaries have closed up shop... I was thinking of a dolphin over my belly button, but just think of how THAT would look at nine months pregnant!! :D

I'd say more sin has been commited and more souls lost under this sign $ than under most of the others you destroyed because they were not acceptable to God. ::) I would imagine your commitment to God to rid the world of all idols that have caused sin stops just short of burning money. Buzz I think what you said is so sad. I guess you could say I'm the rosary collector for my family. I have a lot of rosaries that belonged to various members of my family and to think of you destroying these beautiful and cherished pieces of a family history breaks my heart.

I have a rosary made of the roses I sent for my Aunt's funeral. And I have the glass rosary my gram received when she married her second husband (her first husband died) But we always called her second husband Papa because we never knew our real grandfather.

That particular rosary is my most cherished because of the note I found in the little cloth sack that it came to me in. My Gram had written a note that said "for Jeny when I'm dead" and slipped it inside. But I guess she decided to give it to me earlier since she's still alive and kicking. :D

Sorry about that, Jeny, but that the family didn't want them shows they're no longer cherished within the family and once I purchase the estate, I own them to do as I see fit with them.

If they were not deemed by the users to perform some supernatural benefit, I'd have no problem with them. Imo, they take the attention away from God, the source of all blessing and transfer it o man made objects. That is a form of idolitry, imo and for me to sell them or even give them away for someone to use would, imo, implicate me in promoting idolitry. I don't want my god, Jehovah and my Christ, Jesus offended by this. Can't you and Mickles see where I'm coming from here?

It boils down to would I rather have the money I could sell these for temporal gain, or would I rather have the blessings and approval of my god? That, imo, is a no brainer.
