View Full Version : Yahoo Instant Messege..and web cams

It freezes Yahoo whenever I click to start my web cam..Worked once and now forget it.

I updated to the latest IM several times...clean installs all...and uninstalled and reinstalled my camera's drivers just as many times, with the last couple being with the new xp drivers...

Tried to do the Yahoo trouble shooter site and it even froze that up...

Works on net meeting and it's own programs....just frigging Yahoo.........

Ok so I downloaded icq again (icq lite) and don't see a web cam feature, nor one mentioned in help.......do I need the full version?

My sister.....video conference......why does it matter?...Just want one that works........yahoo sucks.....and msn way iffy..

i have tried , unsucessfully, to get my brother and sister in law out west to get a web cam and / or try to figure out how the feature works. They could see the kids more than once a year then. alas, since it took them 3 lengthy phone calls east and outside help to get MSN Messanger installed and in use , I have given up on the hope.
They are too old and technically challenged.
Wait.. they are the age of lots of posters here. ;D
OK..maybe it's the redneck factor then.

The feature is on the full version Tile. I have never used it so I have no idea how good it is or isn't.

I chat on MSN and Yahoo with the Logitech messenger camera. Works great. ;D

I also use a michrophone so I can talk to them as well, but it's a bit lag and it breaks up, so hard to have a conversation.

How do you know ManBoy? Been watching the two of them? :o ;D I've actually seen Tile on his webcam... he was fully clothed, but the guy needs a cleaning lady. Shit all over the place. ;D

I have a question for you. Why do you always insist upon putting yourself down? Seems you would be further ahead to just accept yourself the way you are. We all have faults and things we don't like about ourselves but I find it depressing to dwell on personally, so I don't. Make a difference by being a positive force in this world. Just a few things to ponder Pack. :)

I had the same problem with Yahoo and the webcam. Has anybody found the fix for it yet?

Never did get my cam to work on it.........Wendy gave me a link with a bazillion fixes on it too........just ain't happenin'.

As it is I use netmeeting.......though yahooo worked fine in it's earlier versions........beats the hell outa me bud.
