The last few evenings I've been spending time in the Napoleonic Wars watching the movies produced by A&E for home DVD.

These movies star Ioan Gruffudd (Titanic, King Arthur) as the title character. I was prompted to get the DVDs by his Lancelott role in King Arthur and the DVDs have been a very pleasant surprise. The acting is great, the stories wonderful, and very closely related to the actual books. (Even bigger wonder!)

I've seen 7 of the 8 so far and every single one of them is enjoyable drama at its best. I highly recommend these DVDs.

You can't get any better story in the annals history of sail then with him.

I've seen quite a few of them, and they are extraordinarily well-done!

Master and Commander, for those of you who haven't seen it, is in the same vein and ALSO superb!

I have seen more and more 'forreign' (to you guys) movies and series lately and Horatio is amongst the better. In general I think US productions have become to slick, to well done, to fast paced, to much colour.
