I really hesitate to click on any link that includes the word "Baptists". ;)
I really see little difference between fanatics of any faith.

Well well, Brandoni, I guess it's Bible study time again. Are you aware that in the NT, Jesus used the "harvest" often as allegory? For example, in Matthew 10:37, 38 Jesus told his desciples the harvest was great and that they should pray for the Lord to send laborers out to bring in the harvest. The implication here is clear, as he told them in the last chapter of Matthew to go out and preach the gospel and baptize the converts. They were evangelists and gospel preachers and indeed they did go out into the towns and villages and "reap" the harvest of believers for the Kingdom of God. Get it?
So what's so horrendously bazzar about that?

Yah, that end time harvest will be by the angels and quite a different one than the folks in the link were referring to. They wanted a revival harvest of Christian converts. That's what these folks are so paranoid about, for no good reason.

Buzz, Shakespeare used to say thee and thou-but the language changes. Harvesting anything to do with Humans is not the best word to use.

Buzz is right, the scripture does say in Jesus will come in the clouds for the Harvest with a hammer and sickle in his mouth.
It will be in the days when the "Grapes of Wrath are gathered together in that great winepress of God."

Liz, I am hurt that you would want to get rid of me! :(
But yes, since you are my favorite pagan/witch, if the Family and I get airlifted out you can have my car. Of course I have to warn you that with the Christians gone the Green Democrats {aka anti-christ(ians)} will be in charge AND assuming that you can afford to pay the $10/gal gasoline tax, they will probably just burn you at the stake for being caught behind the wheel of an SUV.
I expect to hang around though until natural death. I am a Christian Reconstructionist, remember. We don't do Raptures.

Yah, n ya know what, Brandy? No matter what words a Baptist would choose, Christophobies would think up some kinda negative way to criticize them. What these folks were talkin about is simple and clear and this mode of referring to harvesting souls for the Kingdom of God has been used extensively in Christian circles all 57 years of my Christian experience. You folks are the first ever that I know of to spin it into Christohate.
You all need to get over your mean spirited attitude toward Christians and consider the blessings Biblicalism has brought to America so as for you to enjoy the good life with freedom we all have inherited from Biblical minded ideology that so many in the world would be happy to embrace if they had the freedom of choice to do so.
