View Full Version : No election forthcoming, Bush visits troops by phone
CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) made Thanksgiving Day calls from his Texas ranch to U.S. troops abroad on Thursday, a year after he made a secret trip to spend the holiday with soldiers in Iraq (news - web sites).
"The president wanted to express his gratitude for their service and sacrifice and to wish them a happy Thanksgiving," said White House spokeswoman Claire Buchan.
Last year, Bush secretly flew to Baghdad for Thanksgiving dinner with U.S. troops.
This year, the president spent the holiday at his Crawford, Texas, ranch, where he also rode his bike, chopped some brush and had a traditional turkey-and-stuffing meal with family.
The Pentagon (news - web sites)'s latest official count, provided on Wednesday, listed 1,230 U.S. military deaths in the Iraq war. At least 109 U.S. troops were killed in Iraq this month alone, about half of whom died in the Falluja offensive.

The "Pepsi" strategy is immediately recognizable and predictable: Search out and post every conceivable story that reflects negatively on the war on terror and/or the Bush Administration in general. He hopes (vainly) to damage this presidency by a million cuts.
He, and leftist Democrats are banking on the belief that through constant criticism, and arm-chair quarterbacking, they can turn the tide of American opinion against the President, and our effort to bring civilization and stability to a region that has been dominated by savages and terrorists; thus lowering the probability that they will strike us again here at home.
Pepsi believes that, if only the Democrats were in control, that we could run to the U.N. and wash our hands of the responsibility to protect our country by bringing stability to that region.
We could then bury out collective heads in the sand, and re-prioritize spending of tax money to things more appealing to Democrats, like bottomless pit spending on a national health care system; income redistribution, and furnishing a free tax-paid college education/Socialist indoctrination to every breathing humamoid in the western hemisphere, regardless of whether or not they had any aptitude for higher learning.
In the mean time; we could all wait for the next buildings to fall, possibly from a nuclear detonation.

No, Pepsi doesn't have an original thought in his head. Anyone so hung up on colored water is dumb! We need to cut federal spending on Federal programs, which stimulates the economy, and cut down on this trickle up spending shit. They could fire half of federal government employees and no one would even notice! Then give the money to people who will invest the money wisely, not communists, liberals, etc., to increase productivity !!

How many times did Kerry visit the troops in Iraq?
You're shitting me, right? ::)
If Kerry had gone to Iraq, the son of a bitch would have walked out of there with a dozen or so medals.

Dumbass. The middle east whether you like it or not is selling oil to many different countries. These countries need oil. If the democrats like you get in charge there would be civil wars and many pro-western governments throughout the arab world would collapse. This would lead to a deep economic recession as the middle east's supply of oil is cut.
By any chance have you been to grammar school?
No, never been to grammer school. Elementary school, high school, went to English class, but never grammer school. Have you been to grammer school? Is that where they taught you how to do exclamation points and stuff?
