But for the past few days, I've had a heck of a time coming in here, I use Mozilla Firefox (one of the more recent updates) and I'll try to come here and get a timeout error.
I tried it a little bit ago using IE 6.0, and it just wouldn't load the page.
After four tries, I finally got in, but I find it hard to believe at this time of night it would be that busy here.

There was a HUGE party here last night, and thousands of people showed up. Live band and everything. Sorry you missed it.
I guess we shouldn't have advertised the free beer...

Sparky26: I will check the server logs and see if there were any unusual events. The load on NoPC's server by and large is very minimal. This site is the heaviest load on the whole box, so in essence NoPC runs on a dedicated server. So I seriously doubt machine load was an issue.
The other problem things like that can be is network. If there is a bad connection problem between where ever you are at Sparky and NoPC's server, then you can have connectivity problems.
I personally experienced this with another server a couple of years ago. There was a major switch failure down in the Southeast. We could not get to any domains from Kansas City due to the fact that most of the bandwidth went through this switch. Yet to people in other parts of the country or at the NOC, the server was just fine.
I will check it out though...thanks for letting us know!
Sparky: Whatever the problem is, it's most likely my fault.
Sorry. :'(

You know what, BN.
I want to be honest with you.
Frankly, I thought (in the NM days) that you were a total dick. I couldn't stand you. I've learned that you can be a dick, but you really aren't that bad. I think that you contribute a lot to the board, and even if you get people pissed off, you are still an asset here, because who wants a place where EVERYONE agrees.
Don't tell anyone, but I think you're starting to grow on me. :)

I've got some ointment that'll take care of that. ;D

That switch sits on Marietta St. in Atlanta. Betcha. It gives our network tons of grief. ::)
